Wierd Stuff I've tried for Cooling
AKA: Heat-B-Gone

Yeppers, just built the new thing, and since it's on wall to wall carpet,
it appeared as if the intake was blocked in the front of the case, and indeed it was.

Being the handyman I am, I carefully engineered, measured and cut some elevators.
Not really, that just sounded cool. I just stuck some wood blocks under the feets.

Side with Fan       Side shot of clearance
This little fan pushes a lot of air out from underneath.
Guess that brings the total number of fans to 6....heh

Yes, a touch.
Now, on to OTHER stuff....

OK, here's quick tip that does work: Drill out the intake holes on the front case cover for the intake
fan. Mine were abut the size of a pencil lead originally, now they're 1/4". Big difference in airflow.

NOTICE: The Following DID NOT Work, it actually ran 1 OR 2° C WARMER !
I removed it, and did THIS instead, which works WAY well.

Air Filter
Aluminum Tape duct that sucks the air from
the rear of the HSF via 80mm fan
That stuff is SHINY, too, Looks Cool.
Cheap assed Air Filter for Intake at
Front of case made of Coffee Filter
I shaped some cardboard for an exhaust duct, and then wrapped it in aluminum tape to keep it from possibly catching on fur. Flexible, too, so I have it lightly resting on the top of the WBK-38 HSF, and the other end to the 80mm fan at the back of the Enlight 7237 case. Why? I don't know, I figured maybe the open exhaust fan might hinder the air flow to the heatsink, so this way, it's focused on sucking off direct heatsink heat.
As for the Air Filter...I finally found a use for the 4-cup filters we got by mistake once. Replaceable, too, and easily.
