A Magnificient Pair of
American Revolutionary, Late Georgian
Style, Silver Mounted, Brass Barrel Flintlock Pistols. Circa:
1760-1780. This Silver Hallmarked Pair of Flintlocks Speak For
Themselves in Both Original Condition and The Quality of The
London Maker. The Locks Are Only Marked "London" in Script.
This Was a Common Practice By London Gunmakers Who Wanted
To Take Advantage of The Colonial Market During Those Turbulent
Times With The Colonies Before and During The Revolutionary War.
The Side Plate and The Masked Butt, All Silver Mounted, Represent
The Very Highest Quality of Workmanship in Gunmaking. Two Names
Come To Mind With This Degree of Quality: Barber and Wogdon.
I Used a Different Background on Three of The Graphics To Show
How Natural Lighting Affects The Tone of The Subject. The Picture
Showing The Masked Butts and The Silver Hallmarks Was Taken
During a Beautiful Sunset Here in New Mexico and I Was Unaware
of The "Golden Reflection" on The Silver. Rather Than Delete The
Graphic, I Chose To Keep it With The Others. A Fine Pair of
American Revolutionary Era Flintlock Pistols, Worthy of The Most
Serious Investor. All Inquiries Welcome.
