This is a mint condition post WW2, circa:1945 "Occupied Japan", wooden model cabin cruiser. It was acquired from an estate that had it stored since 1945.

This model boat is completely hand made and hand painted, representing the quality that was to become all too obvious of later Japanese made products. Overall length is 15", and is powered by a "D" cell battery.

It has never been used so I would assume the little running lights operate ok when the motor is running. The attention to detail makes it a wonderful display piece. The box, damaged on one end from so many years in storage is still complete and has protected the little boat perfectly. Inside, the original packing straw is still holding the hull from moving around. The original label is also in perfect condition.
An "Occupied Japan" collector's piece worthy of it's investment.
